I tried various setups in xorg.conf, en- and disabled DDC, even wrote my own modelines. The best\u00a0I got was an 1440&#215;900 resolution with black broders (~ 3 cm) on the left and right.<\/p>\n<p>Until\u00a0i\u00a0read\u00a0the\u00a0manual\u00a0(RTFM!),\u00a0which\u00a0I couldn&#8217;t find at the Acer Worldwide Homepage, so i provide it here: <a TITLE=\"Acer AL1916W Handbook\" HREF=\"https:\/\/henry78.at\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/04\/acer_al1916w_handbook.pdf\">Acer AL1916W Handbook<\/a>. At the end of the manual the reference signalmodes are listed:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Display Mode: WXGA 1440&#215;900<br \/>\nHorizontal Frequency (kHz): 55.935<br \/>\nVertical Frequency (Hz): 55.887<br \/>\nPixel Frequency (MHz): 106.5<br \/>\nSYNC Polarity (H\/V): -\/+<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>At first i was puzzeld, because the\u00a0refreshrate isn&#8217;t an integer (as I thought it should be).
